make a small kitchen look bigger – New home new kitchen. For those who like to cook, kitchen is heaven. They dream about having planning desks, center islands, breakfast bar and all those multiple built-in appliances. Also styllish. That can be happen if you build a very new house. You involved from the beginning, designing it, pick the material, the colour and so on. But, for those of us that do not have a brand new home, this may be far from reality. It’s crowded and you can reach everything in your kitchen without make a single move. You get frustated! No worries. There are many ways to turn small kitchen into a large one and stylish. All you need is creativity.
Let’s start from the appliances.
Choose a smaller microwave and, refrigerator. Make sure all of them are sleek. Change your four burners stove with only two burners. Don’t forget to get single sinks that offer just as much function as a double style sink. Remember, when you have a small room, you should make a priority. Try to keep your cooktop and oven in the same area to save valuable counter space. Have microwaves built into the cabinetry and keep all small appliances stored in either an appliance garage or a pantry to maintain a clutter-free workspace. If at all possible, remove some cabinet doors and consider incorporating glass as much as possible throughout the space. This pulls the eye past the cabinet frames, into the depths of the cabinets, so the walls feel farther away. This trick is most effective if you can keep what’s in the cabinets orderly and color-coordinated; clutter tends to make a room feel crowded.
Hey, what is your color theme for your kitchen?
Leave dark color behind and take bright color from now on such as white. White is good for small kitchen. It makes the room wider. When you include white on cabinetry, countertops, walls, and the ceiling, you create a seamless space without edges or boundaries. If you feel the kitchen is too sterile, use several shades of white, and combine it with contrasting textures. And if you want to have more than one color for your kitchen, you can choose color that close in value such a soft gray or green, so your eye doesn’t trip sudden shifts from dark to light. Besides, the effect is serene and expansive.
How is the lighting?
Natural light enlarges any space. It is good for you if you have window. If you don’t, lighting above the cabinets and even at floor level creates the illusion of a larger space. Lights directed at cabinetry will increase shadowing of the space and give the area greater visual movement through light and dark contrasts.
Just put simple items that don’t create a feel of clutter. The more the merrier do no good here. Having too many displays will cause the kitchen to look much smaller, but the right amount can add to the warmth and provide an illusion of a larger space.
Having a small kitchen doesn’t have to make you frustated. With a little effort and creativity you can turn your small kitchen into your heaven. Enjoy!
